To help you get started, here are some of the most common documents you will need to provide for the mortgage application. Having these ready could help your mortgage application go as quickly and smoothly as possible.
  • Copies of pay stubs for each applicant, reflecting a minimum of 30 days of income
  • Names/addresses of employers for two years
  • W-2s for two years
  • Two years of tax returns
  • A completed and signed Form 4506-T or 4506T-EZ, provided by your Mortgage Broker
  • Bank statements for two months
  • A copy of earnest money deposit - front and back of cashed check and copy of bank transaction history showing the money coming out of the account. (This will come after a purchase offer has been accepted)
  • Home Owners Insurance Quote – my assistant will contact you with two quotes
  • Copy of drivers license
  • Copy of social security card
Once you’ve found the home you want and are ready to move forward with your mortgage application, you’ll need to provide a copy of the home purchase contract signed by you and the seller.
